WHY SHOULD I CLEAR MY CACHE?

Your cache remembers what Web pages you have visited. If you return to one of the pages listed in your cache, the exact same page you visited previously will appear. The cache memory reduces the time needed to reload a page. The problem is that some web pages contain information that is constantly updated. If you go to a page you visited 20 minutes ago, timely information will not appear to be updated. Clear your cache often to alleviate this problem.

Firefox

  • Pull down the "Tools" menu and choose "Options."
  • From the Option pop-up choose the "Privacy" icon.
  • Choose the "Cache" tab.
  • Click the "Clear Cache Now" button.
  • Click "OK" at the bottom of the page, and you're done! If you have any further questions, go to http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox+Support+Home+Page for direct Firefox Technical Support.

Internet Explorer

  • Pull down the "Tools" menu and choose "Internet Options."
  • Click on the "General" tab.
  • Under the "Temporary Internet Files" section, choose "Delete files."
  • Click "OK" at the bottom of the page, and you're done! Go to http://support.microsoft.com/ for direct Microsoft Internet Explorer Technical Support.

Safari

  • Pull down the "Edit" menu and choose "Empty Cache."
  • Click the "Empty" button, and you're done!
  • Go to http://www.apple.com/support/safari/ for direct Apple Safari Technical Support.

Chrome

  • Click the Chrome menu icon onthe far right or the browser toolbar.
  • Select Tools.
  • Select Clear browsing data.
